OBJECT OF THE INVENTION INDUSTRIAL APPLICATION FIELD The present invention relates to a joined body of modified polytetrafluoroethylene molded bodies. Conventional technology Polytetrafluoroethylene (hereinafter simply referred to as
PTFE (sometimes referred to as PTFE) has high heat resistance, excellent chemical resistance, and electrical properties, as well as unique properties such as non-adhesion and low friction. It is widely used in various industries such as electricity, and in household appliances. However, it is difficult to bond PTFE due to its extremely low surface tension and high melt viscosity, and the reality is that its applications are quite limited. Therefore, the solution to this adhesion problem is to use PTFE.
This has extremely important significance in expanding the uses of Reflecting these circumstances, in recent years tetrafluoroethylene/perfluoro(alkyl vinyl ether) copolymer (hereinafter sometimes simply referred to as PFA) has been developed which can wet the surface of PTFE molded bodies.
and highly fluorinated tetras with low surface tension and low melt viscosity, such as tetrafluoroethylene/perfluoro(alkyl vinyl ether)/perfluoro(alkyl ethylene) copolymers (hereinafter sometimes simply referred to as EPE). Copolymers of fluoroethylene have come into use. These copolymers are considerably more expensive than ethylene/tetrafluoroethylene copolymers (hereinafter sometimes simply referred to as ETFE) and tetrafluoroethylene/hexafluoropropene copolymers (hereinafter sometimes simply referred to as FEP). Although it has adhesive strength, the strength of the joint is not sufficient, and when a film or sheet-like PTFE molded object with a thickness of about 1 mm or less is used as the object to be adhered, the joint interface There were problems such as wrinkles appearing on the surface. Problems to be Solved by the Invention An object of the present invention is to provide a bonded body of PTFE molded bodies that has high adhesive strength and does not cause wrinkles at the bonded interface and its surroundings. Structure of the Invention Means for Solving the Problems As a result of research on bonded PTFE molded bodies that have high adhesive strength and do not cause wrinkles at the bonding interface and its surroundings, the present inventor found that a modifier of the following formula

合状態を第1表に併記する。 Specific melt viscosity modified by [Formula] (wherein Rf is a perfluoroalkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, and X 1 , X 2 , and X 3 are F or H) We have completed the present invention by discovering that the bonded body of Poise's modified polytetrafluoroethylene moldings has high adhesive strength and is free from wrinkles and undulations at and around the bonded interface. . Modified PTFE is a product obtained by copolymerizing a small amount of the above-mentioned modifier, usually less than 0.5, in the polymerization of TFE (tetrafluoroethylene), and in the case of molding powder, it produces molded products with excellent creep resistance. In the case of fine powder, it is known that a powder with excellent extrudability can be obtained. The PTFE molded body used in the bonded body of the present invention may be formed into a film, sheet, block, or other shape by molding the above-mentioned modified PTFE by compression molding, paste extrusion, or other appropriate methods. It is a shaped body. As is clear from the above explanation, the modified PTFE is a type of fluororesin that is molded using the same method as PTFE, unlike melt-formable fluororesins such as PFA, EPE, and FEP. By having a viscosity of 1×10 7 to 1×10 11 poise, melt-formable fluororesin (specific melt viscosity 1×10 3 to
1×10 6 ). If the specific melt viscosity of the modified PTFE is lower than 1×10 7 poise, the resin becomes fluid at the bonding temperature, which may cause the shape of the bonded product to collapse significantly or cause wrinkles around the bonded area. , there is a problem that ripples occur, and on the other hand, when the specific melt viscosity is 1 × 10 11
Since there is a problem that the adhesive strength is low when it is higher than poise, the specific melt viscosity of the modified polytetrafluoroethylene used in the bonded body of the present invention is 1×
It needs to be in the range of 10 7 to 1×10 11 poise. In particular, the use of modified PTFE in the range of 1×10 8 to 5×10 10 poise gives favorable results in terms of adhesive strength, condition of the bonded body, etc. The joined body of the present invention can be obtained by thermocompression bonding the modified PTFE molded bodies together at a temperature higher than the melting point of the modified PTFE, usually 330 to 420°C, preferably 350 to 390°C. The above bonded body is as seen in the examples and comparative examples.
It goes without saying that the adhesive force is higher than that of a bonded body made by directly thermocompressing PTFE molded bodies together.
When bonding PTFE molded bodies together, it has higher adhesive strength than a bonded body formed by thermocompression bonding between the PTFE molded bodies using, for example, a PFA film as an adhesive. In addition, the bonded body of the present invention has the advantage that wrinkles and ripples do not occur at and around the bonding interface caused by the difference in thermal shrinkage between PTFE and adhesive. Sample Preparation Perfluoro(propyl vinyl ether) was used as a modifier in Examples 1 and 2 in an autoclave containing an aqueous medium containing 30 ppm of ammonium persulfate initiator and 100 ppm of ammonium perfluorooctanoate dispersant. In Example 3, perfluorobutylethane was used to polymerize tetrafluoroethylene at a pressure of about 17 kg/cm 2 G and a temperature of 65°C, and a modified polymer containing the amount of modifier listed in Table 1 was used.
A PTFE granular powder (coarse powder) was obtained. This coarse powder was mechanically pulverized to a fine powder with an average particle size of about 30 μm, and a sheet-like preform was made from this fine powder by compression molding, and then fired at 370° C. to obtain a sample sheet. Examples 1 to 3 An aluminum plate (200 x 200 mm x 2 mm thick) was placed on the press surface of a press machine heated to 375°C, and a rectangular sample sheet (200 x 60 mm x 1 mm thick) to be bonded was placed on the aluminum plate. ) on top of each other, place an aluminum plate (200 x 25 mm x 2 mm thick) as a push plate on top of it, aligning it along the long side of the sample sheet.
The sample sheet and aluminum plate were held without pressure for about 5 minutes until the temperature reached 375°C. Then 3
A pressure of Kg/cm 2 was applied and held for 5 minutes to join the sample sheets together. After bonding, the sample together with the aluminum plate was taken out from the pressurizer and cooled in air until the sample was lowered into the greenhouse. The obtained bonded sample sheet was cut at 10 mm intervals in the short side direction to obtain sample pieces of 10 mm x 60 mm.
The peel strength of the test piece was measured under the conditions of 1°C and a peel rate of 50 mm/min. Table 1 shows the material of each sample sheet, the peel strength and bonding condition of the bonded sample sheets. Comparative Examples 1 to 2 A case in which a PTFE sheet was used as a sample sheet and thermocompression bonding was performed in the same manner as in the example without using an adhesive, and a PFA film with a thickness of 0.1 mm was interposed between the PTFE sheets as an adhesive, Table 1 also shows the peel strength and bonding condition of bonded sample pieces of cases that were thermocompression bonded in the same manner as in Examples.
