Abstract

PURPOSE:To expand the range of a proper flow rate of a heat medium and to prevent the heat medium from being sucked during the stopping of operation, by interposing a check valve in a communicating tube to permit the flow of air from an air-liquid separator toward the exterior thereof and to block the flow of air from the exterior into the air-liquid separator. CONSTITUTION:A communicating tube 12 provided on the upper portion of an air-liquid separator 11 communicates between the interior of the air-liquid separator 11 and the exterior thereof. A check valve 13 interposed in said communicating tube 12 permits the flow of air from the interior of the air-liquid separator 11 toward the exterior thereof and blocks the flow of air from the exterior into the interior of the air-liquid separator 11. A heat medium introduced into a heat exchanger 5 with aid of a pump 6 is heated by a heating means 4, thereby turning the heat medium into steam. A steam volume within a circuit is increased due to generation of the steam, and excessive air is pushed out of the communicating tube 12 of the air-liquid separator 11. Since no air flows flom the exterior of the air-liquid separator 11 into the interior of the circuit by means of the actuation of the check valve 13, the decompressed condition of the internal pressure Pa/1 may be attained. When operation is stopped the the flow of air into the circuit is blocked by the actuation of the check valve 13, and consequently the internal pressure Pa/1 is retained without filling the circuit with the liquid heat medium.
