Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize a high-accuracy delay sweeping device for an oscilloscope by using an inexpensive D/A converter without being affected by temperature variation, by correcting the D/A converter which is the main factor of the error of a delay time difference automatically right before measuring operation. CONSTITUTION:Such a correction coefficient that the output of a comparator 28 for calibration is zero is found by a calculation processing circuit 36 and stored in a RAM 37 prior to measurement using the delay sweeping device. When the 1st delay time and 2nd delay time from the start point of a main sweep waveform to the start point of a 1st delay sweep waveform outputted according to the output of a 1st D/A converter 31A, corrected data which generate no error are applied to the 1st and 2nd D/A converters 31A and 31B through 1st and 2nd registers 32A and 32B according to the correction coefficient. This correction coefficient is plotted with many points in the dynamic ranges of the 1st and 2nd D/A converters 31A and 31B and then the accuracy of correction can be improved as it is demanded.
