Abstract

PURPOSE: To efficiently retrieve a file with an easy operation by extracting a corresponding file group by a first extracting means based on the retrieval keyword inputted from an input means and displaying a keyword group except the extracted retrieval keyword by a second extracting means.
CONSTITUTION: A retrieval keyword 11 is inputted, and a file number 12 and classifications and frequencies 13W20 of keywords which are not related to the keyword 11 are displayed together with the keyword 11. When a cursor 21 is moved to a file list 22 and a prescribed button is depressed, an individual file name list 5 is displayed. The cursor 21 is moved to a desired keyword to perform key addition. When the cursor 21 is moved to the list 22 and a mouse button is depressed after files are sufficiently narrowed by this operation, a retrieved file name is confirmed and contents of, for example, a designated first file are displayed on a display screen. By this constitution, the operation is easily and efficiently performed because the number of files obtained by retrieval is reduced if a user knows at least one retrieval keyword.
