Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the operability of an information retrieving device by performing the next and subsequent retrieving jobs based on the candidate index information in case plural pieces of candidate information are retrieved based on the retrieving result. CONSTITUTION:An information retrieving device contains a CPU 1 which performs the overall control of the retrieving device, an input part 2 where a user supplies a key word at a retrieving operation, an information memory part 3 storing the desired information, a retrieving part 4 which retrieves the information containing the key word supplied from the part 2 as the index information out of the part 3, and a display part 5 which displays the candidate information retrieved by the part 4 and a retrieving operation menu. Then a 1st key word is supplied to the part 2 and the next retrieval is performed with use of the index information on the candidate information is case plural pieces of candidate information to be retrieved are retrieved from the retrieval of the part 4. Thus no input of a key word is required for the next retrieval so that the operability is improved for an information retrieving device.
