Abstract

PURPOSE:To explosively splash about fountain water with the bubbles going into pieces near the top of the water column by providing a nozzle with an air inlet opening which allows the air to accompany the water flow under the negative pressure caused by the inner stream of water in the nozzle in such a manner as to face the water surface of a water tank. CONSTITUTION:A column of water is formed by spouting water from a nozzle 9 placed in a water tank 1 through the inner space of a cylindrical member 3 mounted on the water tank 1 and the water being spouted from the nozzle 9 is circulated back into the water tank 1. The nozzle 9 is provided with an air opening 10 which allows the air to accompany the water flow under negative pressures caused by an inner stream of water in the nozzle and which faces the water surface W of the water tank 1. The space between the inner surface of the cylindrical member 3 and the aforesaid water column is so dimensioned as to allow the water attached to the inner surface of the cylindrical member 3 upon splashing around near the top of the water column to drop therefrom in a film form. This results in splashing the water violently all around near the top of water column being spouted, as if exploding, thus affording a power ful scene of the fountain to viewers.
