Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve durability by making an outer layer portion with ceramic, an inner portion with plastic or metallic powder-plastic mixture, and a portion to be fastened to a shaft with metal. CONSTITUTION:A ceramic outer layer portion 2 of an impeller 1 is provided with a shroud 2a and a vane 2b. As the ceramic, alumina, zirconium, silicon nitride, etc., are used. The inside 3 of the impeller 1 is formed with plastic or mixture of metallic powder and plastic. The portion 4 of the impeller to be fastened to a shaft is made of a metal where a screw hole 4a, a key way, etc., are provided. As a result, the ceramic improves durability and the machinability of the shaft fastening portion is improved.
