Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the title epoxy resin prepreg material which can give a high-strength, high-toughness laminated composite material, by using a fiber- reinforced epoxy resin matrix and an interleaf comprising a polyimide film subjected to a specified treatment.
CONSTITUTION: A reinforcing fiber (e.g., glass fiber) is impregnated with an epoxy resin to produced a fiber-reinforced epoxy rein matrix. Separately, an imide polymer (e.g., a polymer of formula I or II) is molded into a film, and the obtain polyimide film is subjected to corona discharge treatment and/or matting. An interleaf 1 comprising the treated polyimide film is laminated on a fiber-reinforced epoxy resin matrix 2, and bonded together by pressing to obtain the purpose interleaf-containing fiber-reinforced epoxy resin prepreg material A composite material produced by using this prepreg material can be suitably used as, e.g., a structure material for aircraft.
