Abstract

PURPOSE: To maintain the continuity of a reproduced signal output and to improve influence given to a reproduced by maintaining tracking even if reproduction from one of plural reproducing means becomes defective.
CONSTITUTION: When reproduced signal from a rotary head 12 cannot be obtained, a reproducing output detection circuit 24 impresses a reproducing error signal on a memory control circuit 28 and a sample-hold circuit 50. The memory control circuit 28 responds to the reproduced error signal, sets a video memory circuit 26 to a reading mode and allows the video memory circuit 26 to output the video signal of a period (n). At the same time, said circuit 28 outputs a switching signal to a switch 30 and allows the analogue switch 30 to change over to the output side of the video memory circuit 26. The sample-hold circuit 50 responds to the reproducing error signal from the reproducing output detection circuit 24 and sample-holds the output of a differential amplifier 48. Thus, the tracking error signal of a terminal 52 becomes constant.
