Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the nearly same signal as the reproduced signal of a case that a reproduction defect does not occur, and to maintain the continuity of a picture, even if a reproduction error is generated by substituting a normal signal, stored in a memory immediately before the reproduction error is generated, at the time of the reproduction error.

CONSTITUTION: When it comes a period (n+1) and the reproduced signal is not yet obtained from a rotary head 12, a reproduced output detection circuit 24 outputs a reproduction error signal. Then, a memory control circuit 28, as responding to this error signal, turns a video memory circuit 26 into a read mode, and makes the circuit 26 output the normal video signal of the period (n). Simultaneously with it, it outputs a switching signal, and switches an analog switch 30 to the output side of the circuit 26. Hereafter, the circuit 26 is made into a write operation state, and the normal reproduced signal is written, during the periods (n+2), (n+4), (n+6), during which the normal reproduced output is obtained from the rotary head 10, and for the periods (n+3), (n+5), (n+7), which are the time of the reproduction error, the signal, written in the circuit 26 during the just before period, is read out. The normal reproduced output is obtained by the operation switching of the circuit 26 and the switching of a switch 30.
