Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce the subject pliant, firm and resilient woven fabric by texturing a synthetic fiber filament yarn having a specific single filament dewier or above and conjugated fibers having a specific denier or below after fibrillation according to an air jetting method, weaving the resultant bulked textured yarns as weft yarns and conducting an alkali weight reducing treatment. CONSTITUTION: An antistatic nylon filament yarn having >=3 denier single filament fineness and fibrillating type conjugated fibers comprising a modified polyester and a polyamide and having <=0.2 denier single filament are formed into bulked composite textured yarns according to an air jetting method by providing 18-20% feed difference. The resultant textured yarns are subsequently used as weft yarns and woven. The obtained fibrillating type conjugated fibers are then subjected to an alkali weight reducing treatment and fibrillated to produce a spunlike woven fabric having sufficient pliability and a moderate firmness and resilience.
