Abstract
PURPOSE: To form a 3-methylbutene-1 polymer composition excellent in heat resistance, orientability, impact resistance, tearing strength, etc., by combining three specified polymers each containing 3-methylbutene-1 at a specified ratio.
CONSTITUTION: A composition composed of (a) 10W85wt.% 3-methylbutene-1 homopolymer or its copolymer with another α-olefin, each having a heat of fusion as measured by differential scanning calorometry (DSC)≥7cal/g, (b) 10W85wt.% copolymer of 3-methylbutene-1 with another 2W18C α-olefin, having a heat of fusion as measured by DSC of 1W7cal/g, and (c) 3W40wt.% rubbery copolymer of 3-methylbutene-1 with another 2W18C α-olefin or with at least two 2W18C α-olefins, each of which does not show any melting peak in DSC.
