CONSTITUTION:A write head 14 for writing the data to the magnetic tape 11 and a read head 15 for reading the data from the magnetic tape 11 are built in the magnetic tape cartridge 1. Consequently, such a problem as the data written on the magnetic tape 11 cannot be read out, because of some dislocation between a data position on the magnetic tape 11 and a magnetic head position of a device, can be improved. By this method, the exchangeability between magnetic tape devices can be promoted.
