Abstract

PURPOSE:To operate a clutch smoothly even upon failure of hydraulic device by coupling an air tank respectively through a solenoid changeover valve and a check valve with the chamber of lock actuator in control valve and the operating chamber of a pneumatic actuator communicated with the operating chamber of the control valve. CONSTITUTION:A solenoid changeover valve C4 is switched to feed pressurized air from an air tank 2 through the solenoid changeover valve C4 into the chamber 26a of a lock actuator 50 and through a check valve 40a into the operating chamber 31 of a pneumatic actuator 5 so as to close a path 34a of a valve body 34 in a control valve 30 by means of the actuator 50. At the same time, piston 15 in the actuator 5 is moved to the right so as to disengage a clutch. When the solenoid changeover valve C4 is switched intermittently and the duty ratio is adjusted, the actuator 50 reciprocates to open the path 34a of the valve body 34 in the control valve 30 intermittently. Consequently, the piston 15 is moved slowly by the force of return spring of the clutch so as to engage the clutch smoothly.
