Abstract
PURPOSE:To effectively use heat and to promote reaction of a raw material gas, by dividing a combustion chamber from a heat receiving chamber, partitioning a heat receiving material into plural layers in the gas flow direction and supporting a catalyst on given several layers among the plural layers. CONSTITUTION:A combustion chamber 1 is divided from a heat receiving chamber 2 by a partition wall 5 and the combustion chamber 1 is equipped with a porous heat radiator 2 which is heated when a high-temperature gas such as combustion gas is passed through the radiator. On the other hand, the heat receiving chamber 3 is provided with a heat receiving material which is heated by radiation heat of the heat radiator 2, heats and reacts a raw material gas in passing of the raw material gas and supports a catalyst. In the operation, the heat receiving material 4 is partitioned into plural layers 4a, 4b, 4c... in the gas flow direction and the catalyst is supported on given several layers of the partitioned heat receiving material.
