Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of characteristics by forming 2 positive hole transfer layers and incorporating a compound having an absorption peak in a specified wavelength region and an ionizing potential higher than that of a positive hole transfer material in the upper layer of said 2 positive hole transfer layers. CONSTITUTION:The positive hole transfer layers 1 laminated on an electric charge generating layer 2 formed on a conductive substrate 3 are composed of the upper layer 4 and the lower layer 5. The upper layer 4 has an absorption peak in a wavelength region of lambda+ or -50nm, where lambda(nm) is the end wavelength of the absorption wavelength region of the positive hole transfer material and it has potential higher than that of the positive hole transfer material, thus permitting harmful light to be effectively cut off by adding a small amount of said compound, and accordingly, electrostatic characteristics not to be damaged, and consequently, deterioration of a photosensitive body and characteristics to be prevented.
