Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve a higher temperature measuring capacity of a thermometer, by making radiation energy incident on a plurality of detectors sequentially at a fixed time interval being predetermined. CONSTITUTION:Radiation energy radiated from an object to be measured is made incident on a condenser 10 to be focused on the light receiving surface of a first detector 12 provided on the optical axis through an optical chopper 14. The radiation energy is incident intermittently on the first detector 12 at a fixed time interval to output a temperature signal ST1. On the other hand, the radiation energy reflected with the optical chopper 14 is made incident on a second detector 20 to output a temperature signal ST2. Then, an adder 22 inverts one temperature signal ST2 to be added to the other temperature signal ST1 and outputs a temperature signal SA. Then, the temperature of the object being measured is determined based on the temperature signal SA thereby achieving a higher temperature measuring capacity of the thermometer.
