Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable continuous production of a long porcelain plate having excellent designability at a low cost, by simultaneously extruding clay through plural extruders via different kind of guiding parts in laminated state and drying, cutting and baking the extrudate. CONSTITUTION:Different kinds of clays are supplied to plural extruders 2, 3 and a continuous web C is extruded in laminated state through a common nozzle 7 via a different clay guiding part 4 formed between an upper die 7a and a lower die 7b. The web is transferred through a driving conveyor 12 to a drier 13 and heated and dried at 200-500 deg.C until the water-content reaches 18-20%. The formed article C is cut with a traversing cutter 14 to obtain a long dried plate D having a prescribed length. The plate D is introduced into a baking furnace 16 with a transporting apparatus 15, baked at 150-700 deg.C in preheating zone 17, 300-1,300 deg.C in baking zone 18 and 600-100 deg.C in cooling zone 19 and transferred to the subsequent process with a conveyor 23.
