Abstract
PURPOSE: To achieve stabilization of accuracy through preventing fluctuation of a spindle, by supporting the spindle composing an inspector for inspecting an indicator for a Lockwell hardness meter with two flat springs.
CONSTITUTION: A spindle 3 is supported with flat springs 20 and 21 within a support cylinder 2 to be allowed to move finely in the way vertical thereof 3. An arm 28 is fixed at the lower end of the spindle 3 and a spindle tip 13 of a displacement detector 39 is made to abut the tip of the arm. An L-shaped lever 32 is provided rotatably on the top of the spindle 3 and a knob 36 is made to communicate with the tip 34 of the lever to form a moving mechanism for displacing the spindle. An inspector 1A thus arranged is placed with a sample base of a hardness meter to be tested sandwiched between it and a load shaft and is used for the calibration of the hardness meter by a widely accepted method. Thus, this tester thus obtained will not be oscillated as the spindle is supported by two flat springs to allow the use of the displacement detector 39 with the accuracy higher than that in the past, eventually achieving a higher accuracy of the apparatus as a whole.
