Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the possibility of malfunction by detecting a zero phase voltage through using the floating electrostatic capacity of a current transformer and by composing a residual voltage based on the unbalance of said floating electrostatic capacity and said zero-phase voltage generated on grounding. CONSTITUTION:A zero-phase current is inputted to an AND gate 5 via an amplifier 1, a rectifier 2 and a level detector 3 and the output of said amplifier 1 is inputted to said AND gate 5 via a waveform shaping circuit 4. A zero-phase voltage is inputted to a composition circuit 9 via amplifiers 6, 7 and a delay circuit 8 to be composed therein. The output of said composition circuit 9 is inputted to an AND gate 13 via a rectifier 10, a level detection circuit 11, and a waveform shaping circuit 12. A phase discriminant circuit 14 compares the phases of output signals of said AND gates 5, 13 with each other to drive a timer 15 with its output. An auxiliary relay 15 acting by a signal outputted after the time limit set by the timer 15 cuts off the breaker of a failed circuit.
