Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the inadvertent erroneous recognition of a toner end state after exchanging and replenishing of a toner by forcibly rotating a toner replenishing member to supply the toner to a toner detecting region after lighting of a toner end. CONSTITUTION:A plate 12 descends at the toner end and the toner end is lighted when an actuator 14 enters the inside of a detecting sensor 15. Since there are no toners 1 in the detecting region 11, the loading power of the toner is not exerted on the plate 12. An agitator 4 is, thereupon, forcibly rotated after the lighting of the toner end to supply the toner from a slit 2a to the detecting region 11 so that the loading power of the toner is acted on the plate 12 and the toner end is put out. The erroneous recognition of the toner toner end state right after the exchange of cartridge is, therefore, prevented.
