Conventionally, various methods have been proposed for creating a visual unevenness, that is, a three-dimensional effect, by providing areas with high gloss and areas with low gloss on the surface of a decorative material. However, since each of these methods uses matte ink or paint that contains large amounts of fillers such as calcium carbonate and silica called matting agents, the viscosity cannot be adjusted arbitrarily. However, these methods have disadvantages in that plate jams occur during the printing process and only uneven coated surfaces are obtained.

The present invention solves these drawbacks and provides a method that can express delicate patterns without causing plate jams during printing. It is characterized in that the particles of the foaming agent are exposed on the surface of the film without foaming the agent, thereby reducing the gloss of that area and creating a difference in gloss between the area and other areas.

以下図面に従つて詳細に説明する。 A detailed explanation will be given below with reference to the drawings.

First, an arbitrary pattern 5 consisting of an opaque ground coat layer 2, a pattern 3 that is desired to be a convex portion, and a pattern 4 that is desired to be a concave portion is printed on a base material 1.

The base materials include paper such as tissue paper, titanium paper, and resin-containing paper, synthetic resin films such as polyvinyl chloride film and polyester film, wood boards such as plywood and particle board, and inorganic boards such as pulp cement board and asbestos slate. Any composite material can be selected from a combination of two or more of them.

The arbitrary pattern is arbitrarily selected from wood grain patterns of hardwood, coniferous wood, etc., cloth grain patterns, abstract patterns, and the like.
For example, in the case of a broad-leaf tree pattern, the pattern is such that the conduit portions are desired to be concave portions, and the other portions are desired to be convex portions. In addition, if it is a coniferous grain pattern, the pattern is such that the autumn wood part is a convex part, and the spring wood part is a concave part. In addition, when the base material surface can be used as a background color of a pattern like titanium paper, the ground coat layer can be omitted.

Next, a synthetic resin layer 6 is provided by coating a transparent or translucent synthetic resin on the arbitrary pattern. There are no particular restrictions on this synthetic resin, but it needs to be transparent, translucent, or colored transparent so that any pattern on the underlying layer can be seen. Note that if you want to create a larger difference in gloss with the pattern 7 that will be formed later and have a lower gloss, you should actively select a resin with a higher gloss, but polyurethane resins, aminoalkyd resins, etc. are usually used as top coating agents. Most curable resins meet this condition, so there is no need to add any additives or the like.

Next, an organic foaming agent is applied on the synthetic resin layer 6 and to the part corresponding to the concave part of any pattern on the lower layer, for example, the conduit part of a broadleaf wood grain pattern or the spring wood part of a coniferous wood grain pattern. A pattern 7 with low gloss is formed by printing and coating with ink or paint made of a synthetic resin.

This low-gloss pattern is caused by the particles of the organic foaming agent contained in the synthetic resin being exposed on the surface of the pattern film and diffusing light, resulting in a low gloss level. It is not necessary to foam the agent, but if the particle size of the foaming agent used is small and diffuse reflection of light is insufficient, the foaming agent may be slightly foamed.

Examples of organic blowing agents include azo compounds such as azodicarbonamide, azobisisobutyronitrile, diazoaminobenzene, N,N'-dimethyl-N,N'-dinitrosoterephthalamide,
Nitroso compounds such as N,N'-dinitrosopentamethylenetetramine, sulfonyl hydrazide compounds such as benzenesulfonylhydraside, toluene-4-sulfonylhydrazide, diphenylsulfone-3,3'-disulfonylhydrazide, etc. are used. The appropriate blending amount is 5% to 10% by weight based on the resin, and if it is more than 10% by weight,
A printing plate with a depth of 60μ or more is required, which is a disadvantage in obtaining sharp printed matter.

According to the method of the present invention as described above, the conventional method contains a large amount of pigment with high oil absorption, making it difficult to adjust the viscosity and causing plate clogging, etc., whereas the method of the present invention has almost no oil absorption. Since a foaming agent is used, the viscosity can be easily adjusted, and delicate patterns can be expressed without problems such as plate clogging or uneven coating during printing.

[Example 3] A Japanese cypress pattern wood grain pattern including a solid pattern was printed on thin paper weighing 30 g/m 2 using ordinary gravure ink, and then 55% of diazoaminobenzene was applied to the portion of the wood grain pattern corresponding to the spring wood. After printing with ink containing % by weight, the entire surface was coated with a transparent polyurethane resin paint that had the same gloss as that of the autumn wood of Japanese cypress, to obtain a decorative material with a remarkable three-dimensional effect.

[Example 4] On thin paper with a weight of 30 g/ m2 , only the spring wood part was printed with an ink containing 5% by weight of diazoaminobenzene, and the rest was printed with a normal gravure ink to give a cypress pattern wood grain pattern, and then A decorative material with a remarkable three-dimensional effect was obtained by coating the entire surface with a transparent polyurethane resin paint that has the same luster as the autumn wood of Japanese cypress.
