Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain stable operation of a blast furnace by executing control of raw material discharging velocity at the next time based on deviation between the raw material discharging velocity and a raw material discharging velocity in a raw material control gate opening degree on reference discharging characteristic curve to accurately set the gate opening degree.
CONSTITUTION: Lump raw material is charged and distributed into the blast furnace from a top furnace hopper through raw material control gate and a distributing chute. In the method for controlling opening degree of the raw material control gate, the reference discharging characteristic curve showing relation between the gate opening degree and the raw material discharging velocity at every raw material description is beforehand set. The deviation value is found by comparing the actual raw material discharging velocity at the time of charging the raw material at the last time and the raw material discharging velocity on the curve corresponding to the actual gate opening degree at that time. This deviation value is subtracted from raw material expected discharging velocity to find the raw material discharging velocity at the next time. The gate opening degree corresponding to this corrected raw material discharging velocity is found from the curve. This gate opening degree is used to the raw material control gate opening degree at the next time.
