Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate production by depositing a material for transparent electrodes by evaporation atop color filters from the diagonal direction thereof. CONSTITUTION:The many color filters 3 of 3 primary colors are patterned and formed at specified intervals atop a sheet of a glass substrate 1 by a photolithography method. The transparent electrodes 2 are then formed atop the color filters 3 arranged like stripes and formed atop the glass substrate 1. The vapor deposition direction of ITO is determined not particularly to the front face of the color filters 3 (glass substrate 1) but at theta(not equal to 0) angle to the normal of the front face of the color filters 3. An electron beam is generated by supplying electric power to an electron gun and is projected on the ITO in a crucible 10 to heat and evaporate the ITO, by which the ITO is advanced rectilinearly from the crucible 10 and is deposited atop the color filters 3. The material for the transparent electrodes 2 is deposited by evaporation atop the color filters from the diagonal direction in such a manner, by which the number of production processes is reduced.
