Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform normal running even at a low air temperature by providing an acceleration selecting means for selecting elevator acceleration according to the detected value of an oil temperature detecting means. CONSTITUTION: At a normally closed contact 14b is switched ON when the oil temperature of a reduction gear detected by a temperature detector is equal to a specified value or lower, and when the oil temperature exceeds the specified value, a running command contact 22a is switched OFF. After the normally closed contact 14b is switched ON and the running command contact 22a is switched ON, a relay 23 is excited, and an acceleration switching command signal A is outputted from an acceleration switching command generation circuit 20. If the acceleration switching command signal S exists, acceleration α1 is set and, if not, then acceleration α2 is set. The reference value V0 of an elevator speed corresponding to either acceleration is outputted from an acceleration switching circuit 1A. Then, a reference value regarding the rotational speed of an electric motor 8 corresponding to the reference value of the speed is outputted from a speed reference generation circuit 1, and the speed of the elevator is controlled.
