Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a heat exchanger capable supplying paint with proper viscosity to a nozzle by a method wherein a tube bundle forming honeycomb- shaped airtight connecting parts at both ends of a plurality of solvent-resisting plastic tubes is accommodated in the inner hollow part of an outer cylinder and is connected airtightly with the outer cylinder at its both ends and heating fluid is caused to flow in the outer cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of tubes made of e.g. tetrafluoroethylene- pearfluoroalkyvinylethylene compolymer resin are bundled and at their both ends tetrafluoroethylene-made sleeves 12 are inserted from the outside to connect them in one body and a plastic tube bundle 10 forming honeycomb-shaped airtight connecting parts at both ends of the bundle is accommodated in the hollow part of an outer cylinder 20 and at both ends the bundle is fixed with pressing members 30 screwed on the cylinder 20 and held airtightly. At the cylinder 20 two ports 23, 23 for the inflow and outflow of a fluid are installed to cause heat exchanging fluid to flow in the part 21. Paint supplied from a pipe passage 40 exchanges heat while it passes through the tubes 11 and heated to a specified temp. and kept at a proper viscosity and supplied to a nozzle.
