Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the coagulation of blood by inserting tubes whose ends are covered with plastic tubes into the outer cylinder of a multitubular type heat exchanger for an extracorporeal blood circulating circuit with an intermediary of a pressure resisting partition wall, attaching covers with openings and thus making the fixing of the tubes easy.
CONSTITUTION: Covering both ends of thin tubes 2 with plastic tubes 3 of a hardening resin, for example, silicone, etc., tubes 1 are formed. Next, the tubes are inserted into an outer cylinder 5, the cylinder is pressed into formed caps 14 so that their minor diameter parts may hold the tubes 1, and their major diameter parts are fixed over the ends of the outer cylinder 5. Next, while rotating the outer cylinder 5, a hardening resin such as silicone is injected from an inlet passage 6 and an outlet passage 7 to form pressure resisting partition walls 4 by centrifugal molding. Next, the pressure resisting partition walls and the formed caps are cut to open both ends of the tubes 1, and covers 8 and 9 are attached. By so doing, the tubes can be fixed easily without projecting the ends of the thin tubes, so that the coagulation of blood can be prevented.
