Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a encoding factor changeable by means of simple level value setting only, by providing a circuit which generates the timing corresponding to an optionally set encoding factor and another circuit which generates the timing for changing the clock of data to the clock of a modulator. CONSTITUTION:A timing generator 7 generates timing CK by performing gate- control on an inputted encoding clock CKc in corresponding to the encoding factor set by a counter 1 and actuates a temporarily storing memory 3 by using the timing CK as a clock signal. The memory 3 produces a punctured block, which is produced by erasing data of fixed bits from the transmitting data I and Q of an input meter in accordance with an erasing pattern previously given from a bit erasing circuit 5. The timing generator 7 can change the clock CKc of transmitting data to the clock CKm of a modulator by synchronizing the timing CK obtained when the gate-control is performed to the clock CKm of the modulator. By using the timing CK of the punctured block along the set encoding factor, the encoding factor can be changed.
