Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectively utilize a mail box by sending mail information which is stored for longer than a specific time to a receiving terminal and deleting the main box by a communication device equipped with the main box for storing mail information from respective terminals.
CONSTITUTION: When a write request is inputted to the mail box 17 from a transmission terminal, main information from the transmitting terminal is received and the maximum permissible storage time of the received mail information is set in time data 33 in a table 18 according to the current reception time. When there is a read request, the table 18 is referred to and the mail information to the terminal which sends the read request is read out of the mail box 17 according to its disk address 34 and sent to the terminal which sends out the read request.
