Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent foaming when draining waste water to ocean, etc., by providing a number of overflow dams in a parallel multi-stage form for the inlet port of an effluent tank connected with a drainage. CONSTITUTION:Overflow upper edges 11a, 15a, 16a, and 17a are stepwise arranged upward through drop apertures 12, 13, and 14 on the inlet port of an effluent tank 3 connected with a drainage 1. Lower edges 15b, 16b, and 17b are formed under the water surface to form a number of overflow dams 11, 15, 16 and 17 in a parallel multi-stage form. The overflow dams 11, 15, 16, and 17 are partitioned by a central guiding wall 4 provided in the tank 3. The foaming when draining waste water from the factory, power station, etc., to the ocean or the like, can thus be prevented, eliminating the damage by foams to water area around the outlet and also the pollution with foams of the high sea.
