Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the theoretical heat efficiency and largely improve the fuel consumption by providing an injector for injecting a lean combustion fuel at an upstream position of a suction pipe and providing an injector for injecting an ignition fuel at a downstream position of the suction pipe. CONSTITUTION:An injector 6 for injecting a lean combustion fuel is provided at an upstream position of a suction pipe 2 having a predetermined passage length. Another injector 4 for injecting an ignition fuel is provided at a downstream position of the suction pipe 2. Further, a swirl generating means 3 for introducing the ignition fuel injected from the injector 4 to an ignition plug 11 provided in a combustion chamber 1b upon ignition is provided in the suction pipe 2 downstream of the injector 4. Accordingly, a theoretical heat efficiency can be improved, and a fuel consumption can be remarkably improved. Furthermore, exhaust emission can be drastically reduced.
