Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify a receding mechanism by forming a recessed part for inclining a head carriage around a leas screw due to a fact that a projecting supporting part is fitted onto a substrate. CONSTITUTION:When a magnetic head 18 passes a little through a recording/ reproducing area of a magnetic disk MD, the tip of a projecting part 15 of a head carriage 10 goes into a position of a ring 23 which has been inserted and fitted into a lead screw 20. Subsequently, as the lead screw 20 rotates, a projecting piece 24 of the ring 23 is engaged to the projecting part 15, and the projecting part 15 is pushed in the horizontal direction against the spring energizing force. By this pushing force, the head carriage 10 moves horizontally within a range of a gap in the horizontal direction of a recessed part 16. That is, since a needle 22 is engaged to a screw part 21 of the lead screw 20, the head carriage 10 moves in the direction running along a root of the screw. In such a way, a projection 25 of the carriage 10 slides down along aslant face 9a of a recessed part 9, the head carriage 10 is inclined obliquely, the magnetic head 18 is separated from the magnetic disk MD, and a receding state is obtained.
