Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an image-receiving paper for sublimation-type thermal transfer with high image quality and excellent preservability, by incorporating a silicone copolymer having a polyoxyalkylene group and a functional group reactive with organic groups, in a dyeable layer and/or a release layer on the dyeable layer. CONSTITUTION:A silicone copolymer having a polyoxyalkylene group and a functional group reactive with organic groups is incorporated in a dyeable layer and/or a release layer on the dyeable layer, in an image-receiving paper for sublimation-type thermal transfer in which the dyeable layer to be dyed with a sublimed sublimable dye is provided on a base. The base may be a flat film, a film provided with brightness or opaqueness, or a synthetic paper or the like made porous and having favorable cushioning property and flatness to which a solution of an easily dyeable resin in a solvent is applied and dried, or an oligomer or monomer easily dyeable with a sublimable dye is applied and hardened by radiation, to provide a dyeable layer. The silicone copolymer is a silicone copolymer having a functional group reactive with organic groups, e.g., an epoxy-polyoxyalkylenesilicone copolymer.
