Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable easy dyeing with high density under low energy conditions and enhance stability, by coating the surface of a base with a composition comprising a polyester resin and respectively specified crosslinking agent, surfactant, UV absorber and photo-stabilizer, and hardening the composition by active energy rays. CONSTITUTION:A recording material is obtained by coating a surface of a base with a resin composition easily dyeable with a sublimable disperse dye, the composition comprising 100pts.wt. of a mixture of 40-95wt.% of a polyester resin with 60-5wt.% of a crosslinking agent capable of being hardened by active rays, 0.1-12pts.wt. of a silicon- or fluorine-containing surfactant, 1-10pts. wt. of a benzotriazole UV absorber and 1-10pts.wt. of a hindered amine photo- stabilizer, and hardening the composition by active energy rays. The recording material is enhanced in light stability in stability (dark fading properties) of the color of the recording material dyed with a sublimable disperse dye to heat or moisture, and is capable of being dyed with high density upon dyeing.
