Abstract

PURPOSE: To expand the spark advance adjusting range by forming each magnetic pole of a rotor and a core on the armature side into a three-pole structure respectively and superimposing the induced voltage with the different phase on each primary coil dividedly wound at multiple positions of the core.
CONSTITUTION: A permanent magnet MG is arranged at the center section of a magnetic pole piece 1 stuck with a disk 2 made of a nonmagnetic material and having each magnetic pole section at both ends so that magnetic poles around a rotor R are formed into a three-pole structure. The magnetic pole section 12 at the center section is set to the N pole, and the magnetic pole sections 11, 13 at both sides are set to the S pole respectively. On the other hand, A core 4 with three leg sections 41W43 facing the rotor R via the preset gap respectively is arranged so that the armature side is formed into a three- pole structure. Primary coils 51, 52 of an ignition coil IGC are dividedly wound respectively on the leg sections 41, 43 on both sides of the core 4. The induced voltage with the different phase is thereby superimposed on each of the primary coils 51, 52.
