Until now, it has been used as a coating material for pipes, containers, etc.
Shrinkable synthetic resin tubes and synthetic resin labels are known, but when used as decorative materials for large pipes or square timbers for furniture or building materials, poor adhesion occurs, making it impossible to obtain a good covering, and the pattern It had to be printed after coating, and it was extremely difficult to print the entire surface on a curved surface such as a pipe, so it could not be used as a heat-shrinkable decorative material.

For this reason, in order to apply decorative coatings to pipes and square timbers for furniture and building materials, a method has been adopted in which a machine such as a 4-sided laminator is used to wrap a decorative sheet around the material and attach it with adhesive. It was getting worse. However, this method has drawbacks such as requiring an expensive machine, the finished surface being rough due to secondary agglomeration of the adhesive, and difficulty in coating curved surfaces or shapes with steps.

The present inventor has conducted various studies in order to overcome the drawbacks of conventional heat-shrinkable decorative materials and provide a heat-shrinkable decorative material that can be easily applied to large pipes and square timbers. As a result, if a synthetic resin film is first provided with a printed layer, then stretched in one direction to give it shrinkage properties, and then formed into a cylinder by bringing both sides of the film together in the stretching direction, this objective can be achieved. In addition, the inventors discovered that graining treatment and the like can be used in combination, and based on this knowledge, the present invention was accomplished.

That is, according to the present invention, a pattern is printed on one side of a synthetic resin film, a synthetic resin film is laminated on the printed surface, or a synthetic resin liquid is applied and dried and then stretched in one direction. A heat-shrinkable decorative material can be manufactured by forming a cylindrical shape by abutting both sides in the stretching direction.

To produce a heat-shrinkable decorative material by the method of the present invention, first, any pattern such as a wood grain pattern, marble pattern, flower pattern, etc. is printed on one side of a synthetic resin film. Printing can be performed by any known means such as a gravure roll method, a screen method, a summer dye roll method, a roll coating method, and a brush coating method, but the gravure roll method is preferable.

After the printing process, another synthetic resin film is laminated on the printed surface of the synthetic resin film, and this lamination is done by adhering or thermocompressing another synthetic resin film onto the printed surface of the synthetic resin film. This can be done by pasting by known means such as by applying a synthetic resin liquid. The number of laminated layers is usually two, but is not limited to this. By laminating in this manner, the printed layer is protected and its peeling is prevented. In this case, if a back-printed transparent film and a colored layer are combined, or a printed colored film and a transparent layer are combined, the beauty can be improved, and if a weather-resistant material such as acrylic resin is used as the transparent layer, durability can be improved. can be increased.

When laminated with a synthetic resin liquid, sufficient heat shrinkability cannot be imparted unless it is stretched after drying. The stretching temperature varies depending on the type of resin used in the laminate, and is usually in the range of 75 to 120°C.
The stretching ratio is usually 1.2 to 3.5 in one direction, for example in the transverse direction.
It's double. The laminate stretched in this way is
When heat treated, it shrinks by 15-60%, giving a good decorative surface even on curved surfaces or shapes with steps.

In the present invention, since the stretching process is performed after the printing process, it is possible to perform a lamination process via a printed layer, and it is also possible to carry out treatments such as graining before the stretching process. Graining process is usually 100
Even after the process is carried out at a temperature of ~160°C and then subjected to stretching and heat shrinking, the grain remains intact.

The stretched laminate is then joined by heat sealing, solvent sealing, adhesive, or the like so that both sides in the stretching direction are brought together to form a cylindrical shape to form a heat-shrinkable decorative material.

Since the printed surface of the laminate is not exposed, this molding can be performed to any diameter and with good adhesion without being restricted by the printing area. Furthermore, if a hot melt adhesive or the like is applied to the inner surface before forming into a cylindrical shape, adhesiveness to the cosmetic material can be imparted.
