Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove red color tone of a black ink containing carbon black, by reacting phthalic acid, urea, copper, etc., with a specific aromatic carboxylic acid and using the obtained copper phthalocyanine pigment as a color-matching agent for the black ink. CONSTITUTION:(A) Phthalic acid (derivative) is made to react with (B) urea and (C) copper (compound) in the presence of (D) a catalyst and (E) a compound of formula [A and B are carboxyl (derivative) group or nitrile or A and B may together form imide or acid anhydride by cyclization; R1-R4 are H, carboxyl (derivative) group or sulfonic acid (alkali metal salt); one or more groups of R1-R4 are not H] in (F) an organic solvent. The obtained copper phthalocyanine pigment is used as a color-matching agent for a black ink containing carbon black.
