Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the speed of recording processing by the small number of memories by preparing a text buffer for a succeeding line in the same area in starting the recording of a final bus. CONSTITUTION: A main control part 3 judges whether data read out from a control ROM 6 is a recording start instruction or not. Then information indicating whether the recording processing of a preceding line has ended or not is read out from a control RAM 5-1, and when the recording has not ended yet, the operation is repeated. At the end of the recording, recording character data are read out from a character generator 7 based upon information read out from a text buffer RAM 5-2 and an image is developed in an image buffer RAM 5-3. After the end of image development for one line, recording processing is started. Whether a bus in recording at present is a final recording bus or not is judged, and when the bus is the final recording bus, operation is returned to the initial step and waited so as to prepare a text of a succeeding line during the period of the final recording bus. Consequently recording speed can be improved without increasing the number of memories.
