Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the generation white smoke in a cooling tower by installing a heat exchanger at the air discharge port of a steam cooling tower of a geothermal heat electric power generation set and heating the discharged air. CONSTITUTION:The geothermal heat fluid 1 is separated into steam 3 and hot water 4. The steam 3 which generates electric power by revolving a turbine 5 is changed to the condensed warm water by the cooling water 7 and introduced into a cooling tower 8, and dispersed as shower 17, and allowed to contact the cooling air stream 11 in counterflow form, and allowed to circulates as the cooling water 7 having a temperature of 30 deg.C for less into a condenser 6 again. While, the air which contains a large quantity of steam through the contact with the warm water 17 is not liberated into the atmosphere from the cooling tower 8. In other words, a portion of the hot water 4 is introduced into a heat exchanger 9 installed at the air discharge port 12 of the cooling tower, and is used for heating the liberated air. Therefore, the steam pressure in the liberated air is considerably reduced in comparison with the saturated steam pressure, and the generation of the white smoke due to the cooling in the atmosphere is prevented, and the generation of the public nuisance is avoided.
