Abstract
PURPOSE:To surely prevent the generation of white smoke in a cooling tower by heating the air stream by introducing a portion of the hot water which is obtained by separating steam from the geothermal heat fluid and mixing said heated air stream into the liberated air in the cooling tower. CONSTITUTION:The geothermal heat fluid 1 is separated into steam 3 and hot water 4. The steam 3 which generates electric power by revolving a turbine 5 is changed to the warm water by the cooling water 7 and introduced into a cooling tower 8. In the cooling water 8, the warm water is dispersed as shower 17, and changed to the cooling water 7 having a temperature of 30 deg.C or less through the contact of the cooling air 11, and allowed to circulate into a condenser 6 again. While the air stream which contains a large quantity of steam through the contact with the warm water 17 is liberated into the atmosphere from the upper part of the cooling tower 8, and the following processing is carried out at this time. In other words, a portion of the hot water 4 is introduced into a heat exchanger 15 and used for heating the supplied diffused air 15, and the heated air 16 is added into the liberated air stream. Therefore, the steam pressure in the liberated air is considerably reduced in comparison with the saturated steam pressure, and the generation of the white smoke due to the cooling in the atmosphere is prevented, and the generation of the public nuisance is avoided.
