Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure the frequency of a triangular wave without using any fast counter by using three A/D converters and two delay elements. CONSTITUTION:The triangular wave inputted from an input terminal 1 is A/D converted by A/D converters 2-4. Sampling clocks of those converters 2-4 are generated by a frequency generator 11. The sampling clock of the converter 2 is delayed by tau behind the sampling clock of the converter 3 is delayed by taua delay element 6 behind the sampling clock of the converter 4 by tau a delay element 6. Here, values obtained through the A/D conversion of the converters 2-4 are denoted as x2, x1, and x0.
