Abstract
PURPOSE:To open and close a flow passage independent upon variations in temperature without the necessity of a large size device by providing a super- conductive material, a magnet and a support member for supporting the super- conductive material. CONSTITUTION:When a super-conductive material 11 is in a super-conductive condition, the super-conductive material 11 exhibits diamagnetism so that a spherical magnet 12 is floated up to open the flow passage. When the temperature of fluid is raised, the super-conductive material is turned into a non-super- conductive condition at its critical temperature so that it does not exhibit diamagnetism. Accordingly, the spherical magnet 12 drops to close the fluid passage. Then, when the temperature of fluid is lowered, the super-conductive material 11 is again turned into the super-conductive condition so as to exhibit diamagnetism, thereby the spherical magnet 12 is floated up to open the flow passage again.
