置と第2の位置との間で往復動する移動部と、前
記光源により照明された原稿の情報を入力する読
み取り部と、前記ケース内に設けられた温度セン
サと、この温度センサが第1の温度を検出したこ
とに伴い前記読み取り部の読み取り動作を停止さ
せ、前記温度センサが前記第1の温度より低い第
2の温度を少なくとも検出するまで、前記光源を
消灯状態で前記移動部を往復移動させる制御部と
を備えたことを特徴とする情報入力装置。 (2) 実用新案登録請求の範囲第1項記載の情報
入力装置において、前記制御部は前記温度センサ
が第1の温度を検出したことに伴い前記読み取り
部の読み取り動作を停止させると共に、前記移動
部の位置を記憶し、前記光源を消灯状態で前記移

の温度を検出したことに伴つて、先に記憶した位
置から前記移動部を前記光源を点灯状態で移動さ
せ、読み取り動作を再開することを特徴とする情

温度が前記第1の温度に達したことに伴つて、前
記原稿の読み取り残り領域とそれまでの読み取り
速度から最終ラインまでの読み取り時間を推定し
て、読み取り停止か強制続行かを判別することを
