PURPOSE:To obtain the simple constitution of a steering system for front and rear wheels by installing a valve mechanism for rear wheels which controls the supplied flow rate in proportion to the car speed on the upstream side of a rear-wheel control valve. CONSTITUTION:The pump port 39 of a rear-wheel controlling valve V2 for controlling a power cylinder S2 for rear wheels is connected to a rear wheels pump P2, and a valve mechanism VR for rear wheel is connected in a feeding passage 40. The cylinder ports 43 and 44 of the rear-wheel control valve V2 are connected to the chambers 14 and 15 of the power cylinder S2 for rear wheels through passages 45 and 46. The rear-wheel control valve V2 permits the pilot chambers 47 and 48 to communicate to the chambers 3 and 4 of a power cylinder S1 for front wheels. When the pressurized oil is supplied into the chamber 4 of the power cylinder for front wheels by turning a steering wheels rightward, the pressure acts into the pilot chamber 48 of the rear-wheel control valve V2, and the rear-wheel control valve V2 is switched to allow the pump port 39 and the cylinder port 44 to communicate each other.
