Abstract

CONSTITUTION:A video camera is provided with a lens 1, an aperture 2 and an image pickup element 3. The view finder accessories with the video camera consists of a liquid crystal television monitor 6, the back light lighting means 7, and a control means 8 applying its ON/OFF control. The control means 8 utilizes the aperture detection signal so as to turn off the back light lighting means 7 when an external light is sufficiently bright and turns ON the back light lighting means 7 when not.
