Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I.
USE: Useful as an aromatizing or aroma improver and enhancer having fresh and strong diffusive wet petal-like and excellent foral aroma with slight fruity note for various cosmetics, sanitary and health materials, medicines, coatings, etc.
PREPARATION: 2,6-Dimethylheptan-2-ol expressed by formula VI is reacted with sodium hydride at 50W150°C temperature using a solvent to provide a compound expressed by formula VII. Diethyl sulfate is then dripped into the resultant compound expressed by formula VII to carry out ethoxylation and afford the aimed compound expressed by formula I.
