Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove gamma-FeOOH or fine particles, by passing condensed water through a granular cation exchange resin having a carboxylic acid group as a fixing ion, a strong acidic granular cation exchange resin and a strong basic granular anion exchange resin. CONSTITUTION:A filter tower 1 is packed with a granular cation exchange resin 10 having a carboxylic acid group as a fixing ion to be connected to a desalting device 2 packed with a mixed bed 11 wherein a strong acidic granular cation exchange resin and a strong basic granular anion exchange resin are mixed to constitute a condensed water purifying apparatus. The granular cation exchange resin having the carboxylic acid group as the fixing ion plays a role in the efficient collection of fine particles composed of a corrosion product. When this water purifying apparatus is used, the fine particles of an amorphous system containing FeOOH can be efficiently removed and, since respective ion exchange resins can be efficiently separated at the time of regeneration, the selection thereof becomes easy.
