Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent defective filing due to folding of sheet or disturbed arrangement by arranging a means for uncurling the sheet at filing position in a filing device. CONSTITUTION:When a stapler (filing device) 60 moves from retreated position to filing position, a sheet S contained on a bin 10 is guided through upper and lower guides 74, 74 between a head 66 of the stapler 60 and an anvil 67. When a curled sheet S is contained on the bin 10, it is uncurled through the upper and lower guides 74, 74 and guided between the head 66 and the anvil 67. Since the sheet S is decurled through the upper and lower guides 75, 75 at filing position, defective filing of sheets due to folding of sheet S or disturbed arrangement of sheet S caused through contact of the stapler 60 with the sheet S can be prevented.
