Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain arbitrariness in shape, by changing the crystal structure of a part of a shield material, and providing a non-superconductive part. CONSTITUTION:The crystal structure of a part 1A of an oxide superconductor 1, which is hard to be machined, is changed, and the superconductive characteristic at the part 1A is lost. Namely, a magnetic shield 1 comprising an oxide superconductor is machined in a disk shape. A groove, in which a coil 2 is accommodated, is formed. Before the accommodation of the coil 2, oxygen atoms are implanted in the part of the inner region 1A of the magnetic shield 1 by an ion implantation method. A laminar perovskite structure indicating superconductivity is changed, and an insulator layer is formed. Under this state, the coil is inputted. Then, an effective magnetic field is generated at the upper part. A magnetic field is not generated at the lower part because of the shield. Thus, the effective magnetic shield can be obtained.
