Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a suitable shock absorber and increase a heat releasing effect in the shock absorber of a vehicle by providing a free piston between a guide cylinder and an inner cylinder and forming a gas chamber by means of the free piston. CONSTITUTION:An inner cylinder 4 into which a piston rod 7 is inserted is fixed in an outer cylinder 1. A free piston 10 which is slidingly brought into contact with both of the outer and inner cylinders is provided between these outer cylinder 1 and inner cylinder 4. And, the part between a guide cylinder 9 and the inner cylinder 4 is partitioned into an oil chamber S3 and a gas chamber S4 by means of this free piston 10. Thereby, a very suitable suspension- related shock absorber can be obtained. Also, since the oil chamber is positioned on the outermost side, a heat releasing effect can be increased.
